Let's unfold!

~Bitcoin News of the Day

  • Institutional investors have increasingly turned their attention to bitcoin as a hedge against inflation and a digital store of value. High-profile purchases from companies like MicroStrategy, Marathon Holdings, Semler Scientific, and Metaplanet, as well as the rise of bitcoin ETFs, signal growing trust in the asset class.
  • Despite these significant holdings by publicly listed companies, the report states that “Only 0.01% of publicly listed companies hold bitcoin, indicating that this is just the tip of the iceberg of institutional purchasing power, and the market is still in the elite experimental stage.”

  • In the first half of this year, real wages remained lower than in 2019 in Germany, France, Italy and the U.K., as well as in Japan and South Korea. The decline in earnings has helped feed a wave of defeats for ruling parties in recent elections. Real wages were higher in the U.S., but only by 1.4%, while Canada recorded a larger increase.
  • By contrast, Chinese real wages were up 27% from 2019, while Brazil also recorded a big rise. In Russia, real wages have risen sharply since the start of 2023 as potential workers fight the war in Ukraine while weapons manufacturers strain to increase their output.

  • Trump 2.0 presents Trudeau with a make-or-break moment — he’s down in the polls but hoping for a rebound if his response can convince Canadians he’s worthy of a fourth term in office. His top ministers spent much of November meeting with labor leaders, provincial premiers and business leaders, including in Canada’s oil patch, to ease their worries about the damage Trump could do. On the morning after the election, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland assured Canada that it “will be absolutely fine.”

  • ....after winning four straight league titles, City are already eight points back of first-place Liverpool. And now they get to play Liverpool at Anfield, where Guardiola has won only once in nine tries. It's a chance to claw back points, but it's also their most difficult fixture of the season. Come the start of December, City could easily be 11 points off the pace. How did we get here? Let us rank the reasons.....

  • This is Jet Zero, a vision where air travel is entirely carbon neutral thanks to new technology and green ventures that offset the environmental impact. The plan was drafted in 2022 when Boris Johnson was prime minister, marking a step towards the government’s legal obligation to reach net zero by 2050. The Labour government has since made a similar pledge, and in addition it wants all domestic flights and UK airport operations to reach zero emissions by 2040.

~History with Mystery

  • On Thanksgiving Day 1895, six cars lined up near Chicago’s Jackson Park to compete in the first automobile race held in the United States. Given the frigid conditions—30 degrees Fahrenheit and deep snow—only two were destined to finish the 54-mile round trip to Evanston and back. The average speed of the winner was seven miles per hour."

  • The NFL and Roc Nation announced on Thursday that Batiste will perform the national anthem on Feb. 9 at the Caesars Superdome. Christian singer Lauren Daigle and jazz musician Trombone Shorty will join forces for “America the Beautiful,” while R&B vocalist Ledisi will sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” The big game will air live on Fox.

Will flights really reach net zero by 2050 - and at what cost to passengers?
Never gonna happen, not in my lifetime at least.

Reasons behind Man City’s poor performance are probably due to many issues at the same time. Definitely, the winning strike for years might be behind it. All teams need refreshing to get hungry.
I am sure that Rodri’s injury is playing a big part. I have just finished watching a documentary from the recent Euro 2024. When Spain was 1 goal behind Georgia and, just about failing with a team full of young players, he took the ball in the middle , opened his arms and calm them down. From then, Spain recovered its pace and managed to win the match. Rest of matches you know how it ended.
And still some people criticised his award. How important is his position in a football team.

Four terms!?!?!?!?
What the hell, Canada?

I think Guardiola wants to go to another team... and he's just sitting back and watching the team fall apart... it's that simple.

I believe they will reach a better agreement, in relation to this 25% tariff, which Trump proposed. What can Canada do? Join BRICS? IMPOSSIBLE! What remains is to look for a diplomatic solution
