pull down to refresh

My little one finished the book in one morning, then we read it again together this week. It is short, ~30 pages, with each page concisely introducing a new concept, with minimal text, and with the help of nice and informative graphics that so well encapsulate the message the author was trying to pass across. At the end of the book, you'll definitely understand what (good) money is, and why bitcoin matters.
It was a good refresher for us, after having previously read Bitcoin Money: A Tale of Bitville Discovering Good Money three years ago. My little one was able to understand and clearly articulate how inflation reduces the purchasing power of our money, and so much more... For us, the book was also about expanding our vocabulary, and learning how to read and extract information from charts.
The book has definitely sparked my little one's imagination and curiosity, which lead to so many interesting questions and fruitful discussions. This is definitely not the last book we'll read on the topic, there's so much more to explore, for example, why does the government print so much money, considering its negative impact on our purchasing power, he insisted to know. I made the promise we'll discuss it another time, when he's a bit older...

This type of work aimed at children is fascinating, and even more fascinating is the fact that we can put this information in the hands of our children.
When I was a child, my parents never gave me classes or talks about money, inflation, good money or bad money, among other topics. Today I try to encourage curiosity about knowing what money is and how it works in my daughter from a very early age and it is very exciting to see how they are interested in the subject, and how little by little they are understanding it.
Thanks for sharing, now I have a new book to add to the waiting and search list.
