Kids often want to listen to the same track over and over again. Sometimes it can drive you mad! I've found the better the track, the longer it takes the repetition to drive you crazy.
So in no particular order, here are my favorite tracks to play for my toddlers. Enjoy!
Also, what tracks are your toddlers obsessed with? Please share!
Watermelon - Justine ClarkeWatermelon - Justine Clarke
Nice and simple latin groove. Great musicians!
Pinball Number Count - Seasame StreetPinball Number Count - Seasame Street
I love the odd bars and beats with a killin melody. It's an amazing skill when you can write complex music that just flows.
Bathtime - RaffiBathtime - Raffi
The fake trumpet scat is great! I can't tell if he's making fun of jazz musicians or just having fun.
Robot Kevin - The Mighty BuzzniksRobot Kevin - The Mighty Buzzniks
This is my sons favorite. Techno beat and funny lyrics about robots caring about earths trees!?!?
Dancing FaceDancing Face
On this album she hired some amazing musicians. They get to have some fun here with some call and response.
Robot Number 1 - High FiveRobot Number 1 - High Five
I wanted to add a track from High Five as I think they're all great singers and dancers.
Scary Flying SharkScary Flying Shark
They use a "scary" melodic line with some funny lyrics. Very creative!
Since I heard it, my daughter loved it and can't stop dancing to it: 🩰

view on www.youtube.comI must say, I've grown to like it as well.. It's in croatian, though..
How about something that isn't made for kids? Do we need music that is made for little kids specifically? Can they not appreciate some good classical music or something? I never did baby talk with my kids either. Never made sense to me.
view on www.youtube.comI had plans to only play what I deem to be good music. Jazz.
Once my son was able to talk he would make requests and I couldn't say no. They listen to all kinds of music but the kids songs have taught him a lot of vocabulary. I'm surprised how much he picks up actually. He often corrects me when I sing it wrong!
I got to see if my kids like any of these lol
