All this recent talk of turning sats into bitcoins got me thinking: has anyone else noticed that the spellcheckers got orange pilled? My phone ALWAYS turned bitcoin into butcoin until recently. Now it turns bitcoin into Bitcoin. Even now, when I accidentally hit the u, it turns that into capital B Bitcoin. What gives?
So then, that got me thinking, when I first made it down to Bitcoin Park a few years ago, Rod opened the meeting saying that, in that place, they discuss, "Bitcoin the network, with a capital B, and bitcoin the asset with a lowercase b." It made sense to me. The network is one of a kind and a proper noun. The asset is one in 21 million and a common noun. That's just good grammar. I've used that ever since.
But all you stackers just seem to pick a character (capital or lowercase) all willy-nilly! We need some order on this issue or it won't matter if sats get renamed cats and BIPs turn into SIPs! So.....what's it gonna be?
