Russian President Vladimir Putin held a four-hour long press conference, where he discussed various domestic and international issues. He stated that Russia should have launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine earlier and been better prepared for the war. Putin also emphasized the importance of "Russian sovereignty" and claimed that the economy is "stable" despite 9.1% inflation. He discussed Russia's relations with China, saying they have reached an all-time high, and mentioned the war in Ukraine, stating he is "open to compromises" to end the war. Additionally, Putin talked about Russia's new nuclear doctrine, which allows for a nuclear response to any country backed by a nuclear power, and the capabilities of Russia's new intermediate-range ballistic missile, Oreshnik.

Putin has rendered Russia completely dependent upon China.
Without Chinas ongoing support and breaching of the wests sanctions on Russia, Russia would collapse and certainly would not be capable of its ongoing war crimes against Ukraine.
