Disclaimer: I am new to SN(and lightning, frankly), where I started using it regularly in 2025.
When I get satoshis from Stacker News, I lose 30% of them because of routing fees(I guess). I manage my Lightning channels and wallet using Alby Hub. Could somebody recommend a Lightning channel I can create on Alby Hub to ensure that my routing fees are limited? Thanks!

It's a feature, not a bug. 🤣

30% is what we pay to territory owners and for rewards. Not much else I know about it too.

I just want to make sure I am not making some basic mistakes. If that is the norm (like the Apple app store 30% commission norm), I guess I will have to live with it.

Yes, that's a good thing that you asked; you're not making any mistakes.
I think it's very fair; we need to help the territory owners and Stacker News too. It's best to focus on the 70% you get.

Yes, I am new to SN, so I hadn't thought about its business model. Now that I read more about it, it makes sense.
I am glad SN doesn't have ads, and I am happy to contribute to its financial sustainability in the long run.
