Uff, this question!
We're five siblings and you can understand, how many times we would've come across this? Yes, very now and then, I and my siblings find someone asking us who's Mama's or Papa's favourite?
There's actually none of us or all of us, this is my faith or this is how our upbringing says. So far I can recall, we never had a chance when one of us was favoured by them in anything. They actually neber gave us a chance to blame them.
So, to come across this question on an online science portal was too intriguing not to go through completely. To my surprise, it's a research. It found.....
A new study found that younger siblings generally receive more favorable treatment from parents. Meanwhile, older siblings are often granted more autonomy, and parents are less controlling towards them as they grow up. Source

I should be jubilant by the findings as I'm the youngest but as I already said I never had such an experience of "favourable treatment" from my parents.
So, out of curiousity I wanna ask you.
Do you find this research meaningful?
Do parents really have a favourite child?
I have 2 children and they're both my favorite.
