Alex Winter -- best known as Bill from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure -- wrote this op-ed in Rolling Stone last year (using an archive link to bypass the paywall, of course). It's nothing new (and obviously, Ulbricht is now free), but I think it's valuable because Winter is a very active leftist online, and there's a lot of "anything Trump does must be bad" reactions out there. This is a good piece of ammo when encountering folks who have that mindset.

Winter is also the director, of course, of Deep Web, the film about Ulbricht.
