But thats almost an inside joke in Texas.....after the civil war, the north was sending down notherners and installing them as Govs of the states to reform the union.
Texas quietly revamped the powers of Gov and put most of the real powers into the Lt Gov position.
So in Texas, most people understand Gov is more figurehead, and Lt Gov is more actual power.
