Those mining to defend their own bitcoin, and ability to be able to transact freely on the blockchain and know no one can ever censor their transaction. 

I wonder if this is what's going to happen in a decade or so if the mempool remains quiet. Will all the bag holders lose money home mining because all their wealth is in bitcoin and they need to prop up the network.
