It will look like this once it's dried. This is from last year. @0xbitcoiner @koob @fm

I can see they're not very good and it looks like I'm seeing seed pods, it's not good to get seeds!
Yes, for smoking purposes, maybe. But since this is for medicinal purposes, it can still be used fully.
The buds don't look very developed, how long until harvest? Indica or sativa?
6-8 weeks I'd guess
It shouldn't be too long because this is the normal (6 indica, 8 sativa) time for the entire flowering (bloomming) phase.
I was mostly going based on how much of the season remains in the southern hemisphere. 6 is shorter than I'm familiar with unless it's been bred for fast flowering. It's also definitely a sativa dominant strain based on the leaves.
If it's grown from seed the flowering period could be as long as 10 weeks, especially outdoors.
Most people harvest too early too and neglect that the trichromes are immature.
Good catch! Less leaves and narrower. Whether it's from seed or clones I don't think makes any difference, but you're right about outdoors, it slows down development and takes much longer, especially for sativas.
just use a magnifying glass and look at the color of the trichomes.
more or less tricomes, when the first rains arrive, you have to cut.. you can risk, but its a pain to lose many plants to mold
Mold is a big problem, even indoors if there is no good air circulation!
edit: @fmThe best way to tell is to look at the color of the trichomes, I'm not talking about the hairs but the resin.
to make a clever decision yes..
but if the rain comes its either take them or ruin them.. doesnt matter if they are mature enough
despite humidity here reach more than 90% in summer, i nerver lost crops indoors to mold.. On the other hand, one summer i lost aroud 30 to mold due to september rains.. it hurts
I mostly meant that seeds are less predictable - genetic lottery and all.
Yes, it's best to buy feminized seeds!
Though it's winter here, there's strong sunshine during the daytime. So, I think it won't take more than a month for them to fully develop. I can already see small grains forming inside. But clearly i don't know about it's variants.
either sativa or hybrid.. but i would put my money on sativa
missed that part :)
It will take about a month for the buds to fully develop. Once they're fully matured, we can cut them, let them dry for a few days, and then we can store.
With a month to go, you shouldn't expect very big buds. You don't know if it's indica, sativa or 50/50?
I am not familiar with the variant, here we simply call it ganja.
They grow so fast that they're super rewarding to grow.
indeed.. but the day you kill them is not fun..
plus the back pain for trimming.. good thing is you already have the medicine to aliviate pain :)
Trimming a single plant isn't so bad. Then again, I spend 12+ hrs per day on a computer so I'm used to the trimming posture.
hehehe,
one is doable..
but when you have like 20, even if you choose 4 or 5 its a lot of work..
Wow!! The photo is very good 📸..
If it is the only one you are growing on your farm...
What will you do when it reaches its adult size?
Dry it and store it, and my mom is going to use it for some medicinal purposes. Or maybe I'll steal to give to a friend who smokes it just like last time. Haha
😅😅
dont stop until you have something like this
Is this plant similar to the one I showed?
Probably a selected strain.. but they indeed share DNA
I've never seen a photo of a marijuana plant, my friend, what else do you grow on your farm?
It depends on the season, but right now, it's mostly winter friendly plants.
