I think he means the if you’re the receiver and aren’t the sender, you know you received money.

Yes, maybe. That's what I meant with "his zaps" in #928481:

Does he mean nobody can fake his zaps?

But that's not that useful. He can trust his own zaps (as a sender or receiver) as much as he wants, I don't care, every recipient can still fake them for me.

He also mentions it in the same sentence as "value signal":

It's a different value signal, it's something that you can't fake.

I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but what he said there is clearly wrong.
