This would be funny if it wasn’t so sad. I guess we’re entering the FAFO portion of the plan.

An issue that Europe will have with this is that they cannot source some of the critical parts locally and will need to rely on US companies to get them. While they could try and create their own it would take a decade plus and they dont have that kind of time.
What they are likely to do is sign partnerships with US companies to still build them in Europe which is a bit of an issue because Trump wanted the jobs to be US thats why the US is frustrated. Europe has a great pipedream just like they had with their 5th gen fighter

Do you really think Europeans cannot problem solve though? Like putting up artificial barriers to China's AI development also deterred?
Give a man an obstacle and man shall overcome. And remember who put the obstacle there.

China cant figure out 4nm chips at all and they even admit to it. The single company in the world that makes them is easy to track so it isnt like they can acquire the equipment via a third party.
China with DeepSeek showed that if you have 1000 Hopper GPUs you can equal a single Blackwell unit. Its not sustainable but you can brute for it in the beginning.
Like I said sure Europe can solve it however it will take years and they dont have years according to well... themselves lol

China is one ASML getting approval to ignore whatever Biden said at Davos to the previous NL PM quote away from having EUV. While in the US there will be a 20% tariff on those machines that are sourced from ASML too.
Naw trump is Making Europe Great Again #MEGA. I worked there for years, hated the complacency, but now they have a reason to not be lazy.
Be careful of your echo chambers. Especially since about the only hope for the US of dominating Europe ever again is Europe screwing up. They have a chance to make their own future now and they be dumb to mess that up.

Concession: screw up, or this attitude of course.

Isn't that what Trump wanted? For Europe to spend more on their own defense?
