I was just thinking to share this fact in the saloon but then I looked for sone other facts and found that there are many interesting facts/myths as a new parent I wasn't aware of. Or you can say that I was just dumb to realise them late.
A new baby usually deprives each of it’s parents around 350-400 hours of sleep in the first year.
I approve it. This is completely true. Although the numbers vary from parent to parent. Mine, I project would be around 600 to 700 hours.
Babies laugh on average 300 times a day.
I think the number is bearish, it's around 399 times a day. Maybe we can count and share the number than find the median. Haha..
Your little one is a natural swimmer from the day of conception. Make sense, doesn’t it?
Didn't know that tbh. Now the pool is on my priority list for shopping.
Babies are not as fragile as they seem. Technically, it seems babies are as feeble as they looked. When they start to flip or hold things, you’d be surprised with the amount of strength summoned by that little being.
NOooooo! I've spent so many nights watching that my wife doesn't put her hand on the baby only to know that babies aren't so fragile. Even my mom warned me that I was being extra cautious. There was nothing to worry about.
A few minutes-old baby can crawl to his mother’s boobs.
Seriously! Has anyone seen the new borns doing that? I actually didn't. But yeah, my baby did know where her food was. Maybe that's a gifted ability to all the babies.
My baby is still a few months old and I'm learning new things as she is growing. I don't read too much about parenthood because I wanna realise them as and when they should occur.
But you can share here.. I'll read and learn from the experiences.
So,
Do you also have any facts/myths about newborns that you came to realise a little late in your parenthood?
