SN always comes through for me in my lowest moments.
A year or so back, I was struggling so much with parenthood that the dam within me just broke one day. I vented all my frustrations.
The support I received from you fine folks was phenomenal. I feel like your non-judgemental comments helped me get through an extraordinarily difficult period of my life.
This morning, I posted something about being angry with my students. I wasn’t even expecting many responses. I posted it because that was the only thing on my mind and I needed to keep my cowboy hat.
Again, I received some warm-hearted responses. Some commiserations, a reminder to keep the spirit light, another observation about me being poised to analyse. All positive vibes!
Thanks, folks. Much appreciation from this Stacker from Sunny Singapore

I like the community most. I also learn stuff and sometimes I post something and an unexpected amount of sats flow my way.
Pretty cool!

lol at the unexpected amount*
Ya I have also learnt to just post, heedless of the potential outcome. It’s a good place for self-expression

Things I appreciate most about SN
#1: When I get technical tips about Bitcoin or Lightning. I don't commonly need these, because I'm not actively working on new bitcoin tech, but this is the best place on the net for getting such tips.
#2: Interacting with such based people. The type of people that SN attracts are rare people, hard to find both IRL and on the internet.
#3: It just checks my boxes in terms of what I'm interested in. I like talking about econ, tech, bitcoin, current events, philosophy.... this just seems like the version of Reddit specifically designed for people like me.

I think it’s very compelling how Stackers of such diverse backgrounds come to remarkably similar insights about life. We are a tribe

I most appreciate Stacker News when I see a new stacker find their footing and start becoming part of the community.

The tribe becomes bigger. It’s like a permeable membrane - people come and go, but the core strengthens with time
