In yet another milestone for Bitcoin adoption in Latin America, the Panama City Council has voted to approve the acceptance of Bitcoin and other digital currencies for municipal services, making it the first public institution in the country to do so.
Well that's a milestone!!
However there are two things that I'm concerned about. 1) It also includes sh*tcoins, 2) this will be enabled by the banking system meaning these payments would be surveilled.
There's also no information regarding the use of Bitcoin for daily purchases.

I'd not be interested in giving Bitcoin to governments... I think much better to give it to local farmers in exchange for what they produce... 🙂
