“The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2” publication — which was used repeatedly by public health officials and the media to discredit the lab leak theory — was prompted by Dr. Fauci to push the preferred narrative that COVID-19 originated naturally.

How can both be true:
  • Covid was developed as a bio weapon in a Chinese lab
  • Covid is harmless / the vaccine was dangerous
I don't understand this reasoning any more. Either it was a dangerous weapon developed by a state actor, necessitating a vaccine OR... not?

Certainly developed in a lab, but not as a weapon and not released maliciously (but by accident, as these things go)

They won't be able to prosecute Fauci, for the same reason they couldn't prosecute Biden or Mueller. He's an old mush brain.

yeah, I've tried to answer this question too. No idea; I'm not a lawyer, can't expect me to cite legal scripture. But I can say, as a matter of morality and decency, dude deserves to spend the rest of his (minor, miserable) life in prison.

A bunch of undisclosed financial ties to the lab and committing perjury about gain-of-function research are two that come to mind. People who follow this more closely than me, likely have other ideas.
