I realized late what @grayruby was trying to say. I think I killed the fun for so many. Spamming definitely can make me win this, but what about others? I'm sure @ek wanted equal participation, but it turned out that spamming made newcomers scared, seeing that there was no way they could win this, and as a result, they left. I feel really bad rn. It's just four or five of us who are a big part of these 9.4k comments (right now as I write). I saw the first two or three leaderboards when this started, and I see that those who were ruling #1, #2, #3, and #4 respectively now don't hang around here because they cannot spam like I dk. I'll say they're the true winners. I'm sure they want to see SN having 1.4 million items in 2025, but not with "Moar," "same," and the stupid comments I made. I thought what I was doing was fun, but no, it ruined the fun for everyone else. I'm feeling a lot of guilt and dilemma now, like I spent time here to boost my count, but would it be wise to leave now because of this guilt? Also, this is near the end as well. Totally.
This is a bit what i predicted, too. There's just no way efforts like these make SN better... or that ek, ostensibly in the game to grow SN and make it better, would keep supporting it.
It was the incentive, though, so can't really blame anyone

IDK, it was a bit of fun. Fun because it was essentially trying to manipulate a bet and pretty much all rules had been thrown out the window.
I ended up having better things to do and so lost my place.
I also think newcomers could have ignored the whole thing pretty easily too.

Hard to police, I suppose
