One thing I'd definitely do is launch a bunch of personal satellites for random stuff. I'd run a lightning node on one - I don't think anyone has done that yet.

Elad Gill mentioned in a recent podcast he's looking into constructing large works of art or monuments meant to inspire people the way that large projects like the statue of liberty used to. That'd be a pretty cool way to burn some money.

I could talk about this for days. Yachts are recreational vehicles, built with the comfort of the owner in mind. Boats are already rather expensive, but yachts generally aim for luxury. Even when a yacht is part of a cookie cutter construction methodology, and they pump out a few dozen a year, it still requires many many human labor hours to put it together. The hull and superstructure, the interior architecture, the interior design. They have to run a power production and distribution system, propulsion systems, plumbing systems, internet/satellite communications and entertainment, networking, proprietary electronics networks, the electronics. I'm forgetting so many things. Hours and hours. And "marine grade" equipment is often significantly more expensive than the land based equivalents. The whole time you have to pay for storage, and maintaining the vessel. Someone in the industry once told me "expect to spend 10% of the cost of the boat on maintenance every year," and that doesn't include the crew. Above a certain size insurance companies will require you to have a full-time captain and other crew. Do you have any specific questions? ^_^
