Presumably this would include non KYCed Bitcoin.
So much for the Liberal West and free market capitalism- its a fucking joke!
The EU bankers are afraid of a free market in money and so will ban it, because it would undermine their rentseeking state sponsored fiat monopoly power and wealth..
no cash and no crypto, only banks. fuckers!

This will be interesting to see play out and if Bitcoin will be included in that. I don't see how they can stop it. Maybe just fuel the black markets more.

This could explain why I see so much Euro trades on Robosats. It has been more than 2 years I think I have left CEXes. Now I have peace of mind and don't have to think about the next time I will have to renew my KYC info or to think about what to do when my account won't be working anymore. In the past I was a Swan Bitcoin customer, I think the platform had 3 times issues in the span of 1-2 years because of some new regulation or partner/internal issues.

I don't understand. how do they 'ban' a token? what is 'anonymous'?
reply
Anything that is not KYCed and thus tracked traced and taxed will be rejected by CEXes.
Probably 90% of Bitcoin is already KYCed?
Presumably private EU citizens could still make p2p payments as the state/EU has no obvious way of obstructing that.

Atleast there's non-EU. UK and Switzerland come to mind
reply
True. Switzerland appears to be an exception to the more general obstruction of Bitcoin. Not so sure about UK.
