Great article, and one that strikes home with me!
the lightning progression over the last year has been tremendous progress. I’m really looking forward to pushing that forward with UX and utilising more of the awesome tools being created by other designers and builders in the space.

@roy delivers again with another set of great metaphors. Now that I've read it I can't unsee the increase in specialization.
As a user, it definitely feels like a good thing. There are many everything-apps in the space right now and the UX of any single feature suffers as a result.
