This isn't really an underrated or unknown use case, but since you didn't mention it: micropayments, like on SN! But there could be a million use cases for micropayments, like for playing games in a classroom for example, or incentivizing students.
Another one that you didn't mention: it's pretty much the easiest asset to transmit across country borders
