The media (almost) always intentionally distorts reality (numbers, facts, events) and only corrects it afterwards (much after the event has ended)...

The media is really pushing this narrative. I am sure there are less than normal but still tons of Jays fans made the trek to Seattle this weekend to see the Jays and Mariners play.

Border crossings are only down 5%. The majority of people don't care and are going on with their lives. Of course the media is out looking for the edge cases.
