when Swacch Bharat Abhiyan was introduced as a national campaign for cleanliness and hygiene by the NDA govt. People in rural india readily accepted making of toilets. But they thought that toilets are supposed to be clean too, since they are being taught about cleanliness 😂 So they practised defecating outside toilets so that they remain clean and are used for special occasions by guests only 😂
india is still an agricultural country with about 58% people dependent directly/indirectly on agriculture as an occupation or primary product. We still need more urbanisation to curb this social evil. But before that, we need to teach them about cleanliness in their mother tongue, not in english
