I would never hold any serious amount of btc on spark/ark when native wallets are right there. So I agree in a sense. But the value that 'fake' L2s bring are not ignorable. An original, native version of this app was attempted long ago and the limitations for an average consumer to adopt it would be too much to bear. Not to mention maintaining it from a technical side.
This is why we are seeing more and more apps starting to use spark/ark that are not dedicated wallets. At the end of the day, you can unilaterally exit anytime if your blood is pure
Good question. You could think of it that way, sure, but you are given a appreciating (sometimes depreciating) asset that can be used as a means of transfer or automatic savings. A straight 50% discount would just keep you in fiat. There are also plans to earn outside of cashback rewards.
I should mention that it just feels good to see payments hit your wallet psychologically :)
Correct. Apple has certain rules against paying for subscriptions with crypto which I will have to clarify. A possible alternative would be purchasing a gift card with btc and redeeming in-app.
