Blocksize increase

my intention wasn't to profess shitcoinery. I was actually worried that there was a possibility that there was a problem again. I'm 1000% against the idea of a bigger blocksize. 

I'm seeing a lot of noise on Twitter (X) about increasing the blocksize at the moment, why is this? 

(1) i thought this was settled during the Blocksize wars of 15/17.
(2) I also thought that the 'scaling Bitcoin' problem was covered with the lightning network. 

What has changed? Has the lightning network suddenly become incapable of scaling the network?
