I love Webster's 1913, and I use dict on Ubuntu all the time. The definitions themselves are more colorful than most modern writing: I think that the English language has been watered down significantly, and the average person doesn't make good use of it. Shoot, the average vocabulary is very small compared to what it was just a few decades ago, and short format media has only seemed to make it worse.
