However, I'm at the starting line and eager to learn the ropes.  For all the aspiring Bitcoin devs out there, what resources would you recommend?  Specifically, I'm curious about:

Essential Programming Languages
Relevant Frameworks: Are there any specific frameworks or libraries commonly used in Bitcoin development?
Top Learning Resources: Are there online courses, tutorials, or books that are particularly helpful for beginners like me?

Beyond the Basics:
Once I've built a solid foundation, how do I find opportunities to contribute?  Are there resources for:
Open-Source Projects: Where can I find beginner-friendly Bitcoin projects to contribute to and gain practical experience?

I wanted to share my Bitcoin origin story!  Back in March, I stumbled upon a 3-day Trezor Academy course hosted by Gorilla Sats, a Ugandan Bitcoin tourism company.  Honestly, I didn't know much about Bitcoin at the time, but something sparked my curiosity.

The first day dove into the fundamentals, and I was hooked.  Understanding the power of a decentralized, permissionless currency was mind-blowing.  They even gave us this super interesting 21-page handout by Bitcoin Reserve – it wasn't just dry technical jargon, it was captivating!

Every Saturday morning, I'd be the first one at the venue, eager to learn more.  The instructors were fantastic, making complex concepts clear and engaging.  My enthusiasm must have shown because on the last day, they surprised me with a Trezor hardware wallet!
Since then, I've been down the Bitcoin rabbit hole, devouring everything I can find.  The potential for financial inclusion, economic empowerment, and a more transparent system is truly inspiring.

This is just the beginning of my Bitcoin journey, and I'm excited to be part of this amazing community.  Who else started their Bitcoin adventure through an educational course?  Any recommendations for further learning resources?

I'm just getting started on Stacker News and I'm really interested in learning more about how it works.  This whole concept of using sats for upvoting and earning them for contributions is fascinating!
