I came across this tweet by the Tether founder, which I personally thought was quite contradictory but intriguing nonetheless. Contradictory in the sense that I remember way back in the day when arguments for stables were being made; and one of them was that stables were a bridge to get people from fiat and eventually to BTC. Judging by the subsequent growth if tether, it's inclusion in the fiat framework via the GENIUS Act that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. My question is this, if BTC was created to solve fiat's deficiencies including unlimited money printing and the elimination of credit based money, how does bringing USDT to Bitcoin make any sense?
