Maybe not just gusto. When I speak to friends and they joke that I am some kind of hard right loon, I figure it might be their personal situation that accounts for a different political view. But I can't argue about the destruction.
Where's my tank?
Nothing against any of those letters of the alphabet individually but, there is none of that shit here thankfully. National flags everywhere, people seem to just want to get married, have babies, develop, and generally love their country without being zealots.
I've never been to Berlin but always pissed that I missed the Love Parade period. From what I heard it sounded much more like fun, and people in a city with a future.
That would make a really interesting SN post.
I was thinking over what the application for a full time post would be described like on recuitment news. 'Must be interested in sound monetary theory and policy correction through repetitive violence.'
What’s left in the wake will likely be towering debt piles, a hollowed-out private sector, and a market littered with goods consumers didn’t ask for and won’t buy.
From my cab window today in SE Asia, of the many marques: Audi, Benz.. Toyota.. I'm guessing really well-built vehicles are the goods that consumers want.
But now it's a defence sector industrial, the latest god candle for the sector, so consumers need tanks and weapons, apparently.
Seems better?
No. I didn't get it. How about they use plain language, that's not trying to tactfully disguise the fact that your data has worth and they are going to use it. How about ..
Mozilla would like to process all data you provide in Firefox (see Privacy Notice.)
By agreeing, you grant Mozilla the right to use your data.
Mozilla does not have ownership of your data.
Essentially, we want to follow the same path as leading major internet companies and mine your data so that we can target consumers.
Unfortunately, in order to do this we disrespect your privacy. Sorry.
I guess I'm lucky that three years later my nodes still keeps running.
inotify-tools set to watch the SCB backup and copy that, also rsnapshot running rsync with cron creating regular backups of my data.
I prefer to set things up this way, makes migrating hardware easy, I imagine this is when most node runners run into trouble.
I hope I never need your guides, but thanks darth.
What do you think would be Turkey's motivation for blocking Instagram's platform of mindless narcissism? Is it similar to Tiktok where people are just basically payed to shill whatever social message they are payed to? War against populism?
I think it's not sudden but was baked into the cake and the repercussions are still somewhat ongoing. Partly a problem with relying on misguided metrics, like GDP per capita or targeting an annual growth rate.
This contingency on imports/exports is a factor of both domestic and global consumer spending. Partly to blame is how the growth model, massive infrastructure spending and overcapacity in certain sectors clash with changing market dynamics.
I'd imagine some of this is a loss of momentum. Economic growth through 2008 was still riding on the stimulus and easing. Drying up of the Cantillian effect?
Not sure if it's similar with other residential/retail property markets, much personal savings/assets is tied up in property, more so than liquid assets. Then the tranche of debt at municipal and regional levels which varies in its size proportionate to the economy.
Maybe the larger proportion of value in realty buffers the economy from contagion when indices puke or under-perform.
I remember not so long ago that ATM would charge a similar fee for withdrawing fiat cash. There's no reason with lightning this needs to be the case.
Forward thinking advisors should be looking long and hard at technologies that bring market stability, energy management, indiscriminate economic empowerment and avoid hype. Everyone else should do the same.
Ah!
I think that was pretty much my idea.
My fault for not seeing all of this you can do in SN.
I've seldom used invites/referrals with any service, my bad 😂
Weird idea I had..
Referrals could be swapped for mystery booty links, like one in so many links are assigned to current stackers. like everyone gets 100 usable links, 10 of those have satoshis, one has a mystery random satoshi prize.
They could be weighted higher for stackers that have posted more.
This may all be silly and unfeasible, I just wanted to suggest something fun, but also of value. I imaged people could print them out and leave them in places, like a bookmark in a random book, or a coaster in a cafe/bar.
Random thoughts /off.
I find it interesting that many refer to The Age of Reason as The Enlightenment.
Just quibbling. ;-)
What kind of experience did you have in Japan, working life, traveling?
How long were you away from home?
I guess it does not necessarily matter, there are lots of true points. It's really odd to see the media churn out so many news items which have the net affect of brainwashing people to be less adventurous.
Wilful ignorance to the realities of other cultures will be the demise of humanity (unless we continue with the lofty challenge of cultural exchange.) Not always so difficult. Like you say. Maybe just training common sense.
