I came across this image on Nostr of someone who does some sort of activism in Germany.
And these thoughts run through my head:
How amazed I feel when I educate myself on certain topics. I was recently reading and watching some documentaries about the Nazi era. Fun fact learned: Hitler awarded his citizens (mothers) with a gold medal 🥇 when they had 10 or more children.
Obviously we know what his intentions were in promoting those fertility ideals. (He simply wanted more Germans so he would have soldiers to draw from when he carried out his ambitions of conquest)
And then we move to this present year, 2025, almost a century since those events. (Hitler and the Great World War) Where we see that the German government now has no intentions of expansion, but rather, it seems, intentions of self-extermination. They open their borders to allow immigrants to enter in droves and without filters, immigrants whose cultural foundation is procreation without fear of success. And on the other hand, the German government promotes gender and progressive ideas like "Make Love, Don't Make Babies."
Which results in an inconsistency of astronomical levels.
Because someone who doesn't know what it's like to love a baby—an innocent little creature full of tenderness and hope for the future—that someone. Is someone who hasn't known true love.
So how is someone like that capable of promoting love without having experienced the true love of this world, that of loving a child? 🤔
If you have an opinion on this, I'd like to read it. You're welcome to express yourself!
