We live in the age of subscriptions. Spotify, Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube Premium, TV channels, news apps, even basic tools that used to be free…
Most of them are just $5 to $15/month. Not a big deal, right?
But let’s do the math:
  • 3 streaming platforms → $30
  • Spotify → $10
  • YouTube Premium → $13
  • News or productivity apps → $10
  • Maybe some games or extras → $10+
That’s easily $60 to $80/month, or over $900/year. And here’s the kicker: we barely use most of it.
Meanwhile, we delay learning how to invest, how to save in BTC, or how to build digital independence. We’re literally paying for distraction — and calling it convenience.
Imagine putting that same $900/year into Bitcoin, education, or tools that actually help you break free from the system. This isn’t about becoming a hermit — it’s about stopping the cycle of funding your own stagnation.

good article. I just recently looked through all my subscriptions and changed most of them from individual plans to family plans and there are some differences. I totally recommend this to everyone - upgrade and share subscription plans with your family - it saves money!
