ICOs are a unique business model which includes a set of rules that are followed to ensure a company, firm or other entity is able to have an easy and accurate valuation for their value. This model makes it very difficult for the investors to have that "best guess", and while any change of valuation will inevitably take some time, the most recent data suggest that it would take 1.6 years for the valuation to change, which would mean no new valuation has been made and many projects will come and close by the time the project ever comes to fruition.

As long as these people are willing to invest a lot for their services and have been informed about their potential returns, this is a very high investment, and no company or project has ever proven it to be viable. That being said, one of the most important parts of an ICO is understanding how the company in question will be able to do so. To make that understanding much more clear, some of the factors that can determine which type of company will succeed should be discussed.
