The original title said "cooking up 25,000 pizzas a month" but this robot merely assembles the pizzas. Based on the title I thought it was also a pizza oven. Assembly is probably the most labor-on-demand intensive part of making a pizza, so it makes sense to start there. We're still a ways off from Star Trek's replicators though.

AI should be making everyone's life easier, not just making things harder for people who are already struggling. But instead, it's just gonna make wealth concentration worse. The same people who own everything now will own the robots too. They only pay workers because they need the labor but what happens when they don't? If nobody has jobs, who's gonna buy all the stuff these AI systems pump out? We have all this incredible technology that could actually help regular people, but it's just another tool to squeeze workers and concentrate wealth. It's such a basic economic contradiction but they can't see past next quarter's profits. This is exactly why we need systems that can't be controlled by a handful of people at the top.
