Debt bitcoin is so hot right now. But the strongest phrase for me here is just how insane college debt is. I don't remember feeling like it was a very big deal when I got student loans. Didn't even blink when I signed up for $100k plus of debt without a real career plan. And It's gotten a lot worse, I think.

I think the scam is the gov encouraging it, dishing out loans, and then people are making these huge bets, whose brains aren't even fully formed, all on the promise that their piece of paper will guarantee them a job.
But in this day and age, nothing has ever been less certain.

totally. At some rational level it makes sense (=shorting the currency, #994746) but I don't think almost anyone seriously thinks about it that way.
