AI is ultimately just going to become a second-amendment kinda of issue. We will need our own AI aligned with our interest to fight off the mis-aligned (or purposely harmful) AI of gov / big-corp

Like all 2A issues, the asymmetry in power is balanced by sheer numbers. The gov or big-corps may wind up with crazily powerful AI, but compared to potential hundreds of millions of individual AI we will still be able to fend them off (no different than a nation of 200M gun owners can fend off a nation-state that has tanks, fighter jets, etc).

Ultimately, in the end its quite possible we have already peaked and Autocorrect++ will never be sentient.
