What's your strategy for receiving payments as a merchant?
I think it's obvious to use multiple liquidity providers over a single channel, but I might be missing something.

I'm not a merchant, but I think you'll at least want two channels for:
  1. availability, e.g. one of the liquidity providers goes offline for a time
  2. reachability
    • given that the network is hub-and-spoke, there's probably diminishing returns connecting to more than one hub, but more than one will improve the odds your customers can reach you cheaply
Another benefit of more than one channel is being able to do circular rebalancing. But if your node isn't a spender, you'll probably be better off swapping out periodically.
