Novo Nordisk has ended its collaboration with Hims & Hers Health for its Wegovy weight-loss blockbuster treatment roughly a month after it began over concerns about what it said was illegal mass compounding and deceptive marketing by the telehealth company.

The healthcare company said on Monday that it would no longer be working with San Francisco-based Hims & Hers, and that direct access to Wegovy would no longer be available to Hims & Hers via its NovoCare Pharmacy arm.

Novo Nordisk ended the relationship because of what it said was the promotion and sale of illegitimate, knockoff versions of Wegovy that put patient safety at risk.
