That's a good point! It is a bit weird. There could be a bunch of reasons why the gold's in the US. Maybe it's about geographic diversification, keeping it safe or just making it easier to do business with the US (liquidity).

It's quite strange that they store their gold out of country. These aren't exactly small poor countries.
