The occasion for the talk was that the two were awarded Chaincode's Bitcoin Research Prize.

I didn't realize that development for Musig2 and Frost began independently but also somewhat simultaneously. Both techniques were discovered around the same time without actually knowing what the others were working on.

The talk is excellent and gives you a good sense of the difference between the two approaches.

Also: cryptographers are badass.
