pull down to refresh

GitHub just released the public beta of Copilot Workspace (June 24, 2025), an AI-powered environment designed to turn GitHub issues into fully functional code — powered by GitHub Copilot.
What it can do:
You write a simple issue like: “Add dark mode”.
Copilot Workspace automatically analyzes the task, outlines a step-by-step plan, identifies the files to be changed, and generates code proposals.
You can review, edit, and approve each step — with previews showing exactly what will change before applying it.
Why it matters:
It dramatically reduces the time between idea and pull request.
It’s like having a pair programmer that not only writes code but explains the reasoning behind it.
Useful for both beginners and experienced devs, especially when dealing with large or legacy codebases.
Should you try it? Yes. If you’re already using GitHub Copilot, you can now request access to Copilot Workspace and experiment with full-task automation — all in your browser.
“Still opening VS Code manually? GitHub Copilot Workspace is here to show you that the future is issue-first.” 🧠💻
