Progress in the right direction! I'm still waiting until I see Denuvo disappear before I buy it. Probably a major sale too, as I wasn't impressed with VI.

Correct. Depending on the version it has complete access to your system. Even if I trusted the company to not do something unscrupulous (which I don't), backdoors have a tendency of being discovered and exploited.
