How does the author not see how much that describes all the white saviors of the left?

Some of us are old enough to remember when the right were a bunch of low-brow Bible thumpers who were too stupid to appreciate fantasy.

Maybe what really happened is that something perfectly normal (enjoying fantasy) became unacceptable on the left as they collectively lost their minds.
