Something I’ve noticed is about every 5 years people leave Austin and a new group comes in. I’ve seen this just with acquaintances, coworkers and friends since the early 2000’s. Seen that trend happening again this year. Austin is in many ways a small friendly town people get bored with it very fast. You really have to embrace its quirkiness. The slogan Keep Austin Weird is definitely there for a reason. People think Austin try’s to compete with other cities we don’t we know Austin is unapologetically Austin.
