So, this is not directly related to Bitcoin, but it positively excites me when I see the European Union laying the groundwork to confiscate savings from retail banks as investments into political objectives.
Essentially, your money in the bank (earning near zero interest) will be available to the politicians to invest in whatever they deem fit.
If anyone thinks this is a problem, then remember, #BitcoinFixesThis.
And it also reminds me of posts from several Europeans who claim that the dollar index is dropping because of Trump's crypto-fuckery, as Americans themselves are ditching the dollar to move into Bitcoin, while the Euro (and Eurozone) will never tolerate such speculative assets. Well, I hope they are happy as their lack of Bitcoin awareness is my opportunity to buy.
