I've long wanted the Chicago MSA to become a city state, everything from Kenosha to Gary. It would make most of the midwest dramatically better and it's not like Chicago can be worse.

It would be nice to be able to officially declare war on them. And good god, please take Gary too.
I'm originally from Racine, and let me tell you, that place is ghetto, and it's only gotten worse over the years. I've spent plenty of time in the Kenosha area as well. I had friends down there growing up. I have zero nostalgia for any of it.
Thank God I got out of there and live in a nice quiet area with low crime and happy people.
