Football Madness 2025: Gold Cup Final is set

Last night, Mexico and USA got their tickets to play the Final on Sunday 6th July. This matchup is becoming a classic in the Gold Cup.
Between them, they have won 16 titles out of the 17 played till now. Only Canada could win it back in 2000.
Mexico has played the Final 11 times, winning 9 of them. USA has played the Final 12 times, winning 7 of them.
As you can imagine, they have played against each other in some of these finals. Seven times they have fought for the title, with an advantage for Mexico 5:2.
The last time they played, 2021, USA won 1-0.

They lost against Guatemala in the QFs. Had a player sent off at the end of the first half, when they were winning. Guatemala got an equalizer in the second half, which took the match to the extra time. The match ended up in the penalty shoot-out and Guatemala beat Canada 6-5.
Guatemala played last night against USA , losing to them 2-1.
