I believe Christ supersedes all forms of government comprised of men. Christ was given all authority power and might above all. Even the manmade beasts of government, if uncorrupted, rightly bow to his will and enact justice on earth.
Today as I reviewed John I with my son, trying to explain it to him, it dawned on me what it means. In light of the common law tradition, John describes the logos as that law of the universe created by God the Father as a grand design or schema by which everything came into existence. This includes truth, God's laws, physics and physical laws, life itself (soul), and the light of man (intelligent life). Out of this logos Christ came into existence, and a man with the uncorrupted spirit of the Father came to bring witness of God and to remind us we too are created in the image of God, that we are the light of the world and the Kingdom if God is within our grasp if only we follow Christ.
Its all very simple, yet explained to us in monarchial terms.

In this fallen world, there are no forms of government that would stay uncorrupted or last forever. There is only one rule that is perfect and everlasting: reign of God over all reality.
Are you Orthodox by any chance?

No, I'd like to know more about that

Interesting! I thought for sure you'd be Orthodox since I didn't hear people to refer to Christ as the Logos very often until I learned about it. I read your other comments in this thread and saw that you used to be Catholic, so that makes sense!
I found that there's not really a short explanation or video on Eastern Orthodoxy. So here's an interview with one of my favorite priests to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_Fl9XZCDwg
I'm just an enquirer right now, so I'm still learning but I'm open to answer questions to the best of my ability. I'll probably just refer you to the works of more experienced orthodox creators lol.

You do you. But the issue with any religion, is that there will always be those who will tell you they are the "blessed ones" (like the crown) and only they can give you the word of god, which by coincidence mainly benefits themselves.
As long as you don't put any human in that equation, we should be safe 😁

Actually, this is the perfect description of governments. This is precisely how they operate. 🙂

By the way, Jesus Christ did not create a religion. Christ was against organized religion. He spent half his time critising those who twist the law to their own benefit. Christ said to pray directly to the father through authority given to you through belief in him. I can't say all religion is bad, or that there are no good churches, this is obviously not true.
Without the organizations built on the people who are the church, there would be nowhere to go for those seeking the truth. Religions exist only to point the way for your journey.
Religions are not the destination, they are only a base camp. Seeking the truth is the mountain and Christ is your guide.

"Lost Paradise" gives a good portrait of this. I would still challenge your faith in some churches. Specifically the catholic ones, don't rhey all see the Vatican as the mother ship? (I'm an ignorant to this things)
reply
Yes, I came to the faith through the Catholic church so I can talk your ear off about that. I've come to understand reality differently than those teachings through several other churches. There is no such thing as a perfect organization of men, so any religious organization is easy to criticize (as are non-religious). One shouldn't conflate Christianity with christian organizations. Its understandable many do so when there have been official state sponsored doctrines and dogma with the force of the state. I've come to understand the difference between religion and faith. Religion is the practice of works as defined by men, where faith is the process of being purified by God and following the guidance of the Law without being under its bondage.

Rule by the Logos is about all you could ask for yet Christ is above him and he rules with love. Reason and evidence is all we have on this earth yet we are far more than dirt.
WRT religion, I do not tithe to pay a mortgage on a church building, to feed another man's family, or to cast pearls before swine abroad. The tithe as originally defined is what we would call today "prepping" for hard times and stacking sats.
