When I joined the Bitcoin community, I was full of curiosity. Like many beginners, I wanted to understand everything from the start — the history, the purpose, and the people behind it.
One of the first questions I asked was:
"Who is Satoshi Nakamoto, and how did he come up with the idea of Bitcoin?"
But instead of answers, I was told not to ask such questions. Some people said it’s not important. Others said it's a religious topic, or just something we should not talk about. I was even told I’m only using hashtags to get sats.
That really discouraged me. I started asking myself: Is it wrong to ask questions as a beginner? Is it bad to use hashtags to reach the right community and people who care about the same things?
I didn’t come to Bitcoin just to collect sats. I came here to learn something that can change lives — something that can bring financial freedom to people like me, in Malawi, where access to banking is hard and opportunities are few.
I believe Bitcoin is not only for tech experts or those with all the knowledge already. It's for anyone who is willing to learn — whether you're from a city or a village, from the West or Africa.
I use hashtags not to farm sats, but to connect with the right people — the ones who can help me understand and grow. I ask about Satoshi not to waste time, but to better grasp the roots of this movement. Because when you know the origin, you understand the mission.
To those who welcomed me and encouraged me, thank you. To those who criticized me, I understand your view too. But please remember, every Bitcoiner started as a beginner.
So to all other beginners reading this: Don’t be afraid to ask questions, even if they sound simple. Your journey matters. Your curiosity is valid. And you belong here, just as much as anyone else.
I’ll keep learning, stacking when I can, and sharing my journey — not for sats, but for growth.
Thank you to the Bitcoin community, and I hope to keep learning from you all.
