If this is true, it's a shame. Regardless, bitcoin doesn't need the US government. The US government needs bitcoin.
Realistically since we were going to need 60 Members to make it Filibuster proof and Republicans only have 53 seats and need 60 to make it Filibuster proof. Getting 7 Dems to take the public backlash of working with Republicans and furthering Trumps agenda was very very slim.
